The A221 (or Eveready 505 or Ever Ready B155) is a alkaline replacement for the once popular zinc chloride battery that was commonly used in AVO meters and in flash units. Being Alkaline, our replacement will last longer than the original.
The A221 (or Eveready 505 or Ever Ready B155) cells produce 22.5 Volts and has contacts on each end. It can be used in vintage collectible transistor radios and is widely used in flash units such as the Bolsen flash unit, the Ricoh 500 flash unit and the Kodak Brownie Flashholder 4 flash unit. The A221 battery is also used in the Newmann U87 Microphone.
